The ATLS Center of the University of Athens is offering providers courses in English for international participants.
The ATLS Center has been established in 1995 and since then more than 2000 doctors have been educated, covering all medical specialties from all over Greece.
The duration of each course is 2 days, Friday to Saturday, 10 hrs per day and is completed on Saturday afternoon through written exams.

ATLS offers concise training for the initial treatment of the heavily injured. It provides the knowledge that can save human lives in critical situations.

ATLS training format includes 3 parts. The first part contains lectures in the amphitheater where there is a short review of the book’s chapters.
The goal is to point out the most important parts of the chapters through an interactive way. In the second part the students are trained in life saving techniques on mannequins.
During the course the students are practicing on virtual trauma patient scenarios.

Certification (ATLS ID)
- In order to complete the Student Course, the full attendance of the programme is needed as well as the success in both oral and written tests.
- As for the written exams, the 80% of the questions has to be answered correctly.
- In case of not achieving the standards in the written test, you can repeat it next day.
- The ATLS ID is valid for 4 years worldwide.
- After 4 years in order to maintain a current status, a refresher course is provided.
Refund
- Total refund can be done until 2 months before the beginning of the course.
- In case of book delivered the refund is 50% of the fees.
- No refund is possible in case of last month cancellations.
Transportation
From Athens International Airport you can take the metro or the bus X95 and in 35 minutes you are arriving in Megaro Moussikis station. Then you can walk to the venue.
